De toekomst. Wat brengt die? Ga maar naar de Allerheiligenkirmes in Soest. Daar staan altijd twee waarzegsters. Maar… dit jaar niet. Wat zijn de voorspellingen voor het nieuwe jaar? Alles is onduidelijk. Pandemie, inflatie, klimaat, woningnood, kabinetsformatie? Een goede waarzegster zou dat moeten weten. Maar als die er niet staan, is het werkelijk onduidelijk wat de toekomst zal brengen.
Kan ik volgend jaar naar het Oktoberfest? Hoe zit het voorjaar eruit, wat de kermis betreft? Of gaan de eerste zaken ook volgend jaar pas in de zomer op reis? Vragen. Ik ben niet meer zo positief als dat ik vorig jaar was.
In Soest is er in ieder geval de Allerheiligenkirmes. Zonder feesttent en met hier en daar wat minder kramen. Maar: controles op 3G heb ik hier niet gezien op het terrein. Waar ze in Werne best flink wat mensen controleerden, is er in Soest geen diender te vinden die dit doet. Vreemd, gezien het record aantal besmettingen in Duitsland.
De hoeveelheid bezoekers voor vrijdagmiddag vallen tegen. Normalerwijze zijn al vroeg in de middag de mensenmassa’s onderweg. Nu pas als het donker is. En dat bij goed weer. Een gevolg van de pandemie? Voor het maken van foto’s is dat niet eens zo erg, maar voor de kermisexploitanten toch wel.
